To close out 2012, here are some photos I took of various birds either at the Edwin B. Forsythe Wildlife Refuge (temporarily closed because of the damages from hurricane Sandy) or in my backyard.

A side benefit of these photos is that I’ve learned the correct names of these birds, and can identify them when I see them now.
