I planted many magnolia and Asian pear trees around our house. At this time of the year, they all bloom profusely, creating beautiful splashes of pink, yellow, and white all around the front and back yards.
One of the magnolias is a yellow magnolia whose flowers look like butterflies landing on its branches, as you can see below.
Today was very windy, and it took me several attempts before I could freeze a close-up of an Asian pear flower. The flower will become a giant pear in the fall, and it will taste as great as the flower now looks.
