To answer this challenge once more, I am posting a photo of a bristlecone pine, taken at Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah one bright morning last summer. I had posted it before, but this visually stunning tree deserves its own place here. Bristlecone pine grows very slowly because of its harsh environment, so this one may be several hundred years old.
