You have probably observed that many of my photos are of about rocks and the harsh, and sometimes twisted, landscape where they tend to be found. Tonight I am going to post a much softer photo, one of the moon rising above frail evening clouds. There are two versions, color and monochrome. Let me know which one you like.
I like the color, but I’m very partial to all photos that are in color.

Thanks for stopping by Jerry. I converted the original photo to monochrome to see what it would look like, but color is the preferred choice.

Great photos! I saw the big, bright moon while I was driving to work, wished I was walking with my camera π

Thanks Amy. Like you, many times I wish I had my camera with me when I see a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Unfortunately for us, weekend warriors…

Thnaks, John. This morning I modified the monochrome a little bit. If you have time, take a look.

Yes! Now I can see that the original monochrome version was lacking in that “pop” factor. It had too much gray. This new version makes a more eerie statement. I can almost hear the coyotes calling. Maybe it’s just that I am in Arizona for the winter, but I’m expecting if the photo were cropped lower, there would be saguaro cacti visible. π
