Last Wednesday, we were strolling along the Seine river in Paris when we saw three French soldiers patrolling the area. They took a brief moment to pose for a tourist. Their image below is my answer to this week’s Street Life Challlenge.

I thought their presence was connected the the visit of the Chinese No. 1, Xi Jinping, but people tell me soldiers have been patrolling the streets of Paris even before that.

One could see them quite often in Paris, patrolling the streets, perhaps because the Chinese president was in town. I don’t know if this was “normal” or not.
