One morning two weeks ago, in front of Notre-Dame de Paris, we heard my favorite song, Romance, being played on a guitar by the following street musician.
The song, the theme in the 1952 movie Jeux Interdits (Forbidden Games), was thought to be the creation of someone anonymous, but it is now attributed to Fernando Sor, a 19th century Spanish guitarist and composer. If you want to listen to master guitarist Jean-Yves Casala playing it, here’s a link. Playing time is about 2 minutes. I am sure you will like it.
