To replace some of the azaleas that could not withstand this past winter, I recently planted some Shasta Daisy and Echinacea. They are starting to bloom and here are some of the first photos I took of them.

The White Swan is still quite young. I’ll wait a few more days and take another shot when it is in full bloom.

This echinacea “White Swan” is relatively new, at least for me. It is supposed to be easy to grow too. Thanks for stopping by, Katelon.

Are there other colors for Echinacea flowers?

Echinacea comes in pink/purple, yellow, orange, white, and variations of these colors. In the wild, some even have greenish flowers.

I believe the French refer to daisies as ‘marguerites’ … 🙂

Marguerites indeed. As in Marguerite Duras, a famous French novelist who was born in South Viet Nam.

Thanks Doda. I am using an old Canon macro lens from around 1990, before DSLRs came into existence. It is not very fancy but it works quite well.
