On my way to and from work, I drive by a field of sunflowers. Lately, the flowers are blooming, forming a marvelous golden carpet that begged to be photographed.
This morning I left for work earlier than usual, a little bit after 6 AM. Once I came to the area, I parked the car and walked about a quarter mile to take the following photos.
In the photo below, the sunflowers seem to be bending their heads as they worship the sun.
