The Natural Bridges National Monument is a relatively unknown gem in the southeast corner of Utah, about 45 miles away from the nearest town, Blanding. We were there last year in June during our tour of red rock country. The monument has three natural bridges, of which Owachomo is the smallest but most accessible. We walked down all the way to the bottom and, since there was a drought, the river bed was dry.

It is the smallest of the three but easy to photograph. We even saw a lady painting it on that day.

It was a warm day even at 6,000 ft, and there was not one cloud to be seen. Thank you for stopping by this blog!

Another of my blogging friends went there with her husband, too, Hien: it’s fascinating the way the seasonal changes make the Park look so different ! And now I’m pinching myself because I can’t remember who it was, and thus can’t provide a link to the evidence. Sighh …

Thank you. It’s a little different take, but a bridge is a bridge, man-made or natural. 🙂

Oh, so beautiful. I’ve never seen this, although when I traveled through Utah, I thought it was one of the most beautiful states I’d ever seen. Great shots!

You should make it a point to come back and visit Natural Bridges. They have very nice camping facilities, and very few people that use them.
