Since these pictures, I have been noticing that the sparrow shows no fear of anyone, except for the occasional hawk.

There are several very cold days coming, starting today. Will probably happen in your region also. I’ve been using the hand warmers when I use the snowthrower or a shovel to remove snow.

Indeed. Who would have thought? On the other hand sparrows live in cities near humans, so they may have learned to be aggressive.
