If you are getting bored of my BIF photos, this following picture, taken at Holgate two weeks ago, is for you.
All right, so no more BIF today.
The other day, while trying to capture the Red-bellied Woodpecker in flight, I noticed our magnolia tree was getting loaded with birds.
That was not the end of it. One more bird hopped on.
Then there was our House Finch next to a Junco.
Not yawning! But it’s nice to see them yawn…I saw papa osprey do it the other day.

Those birds work hard and have to release some stress by yawning perhaps. Thanks for visiting, Tiny!

Did I hear right ? – did you say “if we’re getting bored with the feeder” ? I refer you thus ! – http://wp.me/p5EBPg-9s
I do not want to hear anything like that again ! [grump grump]
Mind you, these are pretty good, too !

What a capture of the yawning. 🙂 Love the 2nd and 3rd images especially. Your magnolia tree is beautiful in the winter.

Very lovely photos, Hien. They look so wintry, and yet there are big fat buds on the tree. Nice. 😉

Love the first photo especially. It does seem like he is yawning. Maybe getting bored with all the photos? 🙂

I love your bird shots! Each of these photos are quite beautiful. I also have a fondness for cardinals…they were my grandmothers favorite bird.
