Eight weeks ago at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, the Osprey chicks were still small.

This past Monday, all three chicks have grown up. They appeared to be waiting for their parents who were out looking for fish.

It was a hot day with lots of mosquitoes and flies attacking me constantly, so I didn’t stick around to wait for the parents to come back to their nest.

Happy to see the three youngsters all grown up! Now they just need to learn to fish before they have to start their migration…I hope they follow their parents on fishing trips!

Maybe they will go out fishing on their own in a few more weeks. They can’t just hang around waiting for meals to be served to them. 🙂

Thank you Indah. Unfortunately, I live about 70 miles from the refuge and can’t go there as often as I would like to. Perhaps I will go see them in late October, if they are still there by then.
