The weather was bad and I had to work, so I have not taken any photo for a week. The following shots are of Bald Eagles at the Conowingo Dam in Maryland at the beginning of this year, two weeks ago. They were busy hunting for fish and glided regally against a blue sky as several dozens of photographers, just like paparazzi around celebrities, aimed their long lenses at them.

Amazingly crisp photos. Do you have a favourite? I think mine is the one at the top – the eagle is somehow full of intent, as if it’s on its way to do something incredibly important!

Excellent images of the eagles! I’ve heard of the Conowingo Dam and eagles that congregate there in the winter, I wish that there was something similar around here.

Jerry, you should to Conowingo next fall around Thanksgiving. I was told that’s when the Bald Eagles have their convention there.
