Like others on WordPress, I have been going through photos taken in 2016 to see whether some of them could be displayed here. Several are shown below, and others will probably follow in the last three days of this year. As you can tell, there is no rhyme or reason to the order of these images.

With color like that, I don’t understand how he can be called a common grackle. Beautiful shots!

You are right of course. 🙂 There are 11 different kinds of grackle, and maybe this is the more common grackle that we usually see.

No rhyme or reason is needed – they all express that wonderful closeness to nature. (How I miss seeing Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, and hearing them, too).
