Great series ~ love the hummingbird shot and of course the glory of Mother Nature captured in your Sunrise over Ocean City, MD.

Your birds just keep getting better and better. I have not had a crack at hummingbirds and would love to. That Ocean City sunrise is most appealing…really nice!!
Happy 2017!!

Thank you, Judy! You should try your hands at photographing hummingbirds. If you have a feeder, they will find it sooner or later and will come to you.

Wonderful photos, Hien. I always love your bird photos, but this time I like the Ocean City photo even more… maybe because I like trees so much.
I went back to read your Viet Nam trip. Very interesting. It reminded me of the time I went back to Taiwan 29 years after I left there.
Thank you so much for brightening my days with your blog and photos in 2016. Have a Healthy and Happy 2017.

Thank you Helen! Twenty nine years is a long time also, but perhaps Taiwan had not changed as much as Viet Nam?

Taiwan had changed a lot too. Even now, 14 years after my first trip back and I had been back almost every year, I still couldn’t find my way around in my hometown. Every place seems being misplaced. Where it used to be a piece of land now has house after house. I felt as if I was in a different planet (on my first trip back)…

Another great collection of “leftovers”! I was going to say that the miniature horses were my favorite until I saw the hummer!

Thank you Jerry. Hummingbirds are now used to coming to our feeder, and I am thinking they could be the same ones that have been showing up for the past several years.

They are adorable. I’ll have to go back there in May and see what this year will bring in terms of baby horses.

That Song Sparrow is beautiful, Hien. It looks like he is actually singing in a spotlight. Such a great photo.

It has to be one of the cutest birds around. I also saw one in California this past May and it was singing also, just like the one above.
