In the end we only got 4 inches (10 cm) of snow as it was too warm and the storm started out as rain spattering on our roof in the middle of the night. Our feathered friends gathered around the feeder and tried to make the best of it.

Thank you anh Hie^`n for a great story of two fathers and all the pix. I did take time to look at them. Bravo! Will plan a visit to talk.

These photos are incredible. Birds always remind me of my lovely Dad who I lost just over a year ago to cancer. The deer photo is also stunning. I live in Switzerland and often go running in the mornings and in the summer months I sometimes see deer playing. Thanks for sharing. I have a poetry blog on WordPress just in case you have time to look? Have a nice day, Sam 🙂

So lovely to see the young deer. Doesn’t seem frightened at all.

That young deer just stood there for a long time, eating something under the snow, aware but not concerned about that guy with the camera! 🙂

The deer is too cute, great timing on that one. Your bird photos are also very good.

Nicely done Hien. The titmouse image, with flakes and crooked magnolia twig, really captures the mood.

Thanks Nick. That magnolia tree next to the feeder give a perch to the birds, and that helps. Even a hawk landed on it!

Lovely shots – all of them. They are very tough to brave the storm. I’m glad everyone is OK 🙂
