Beautiful, especially after the rain with wet drops still on the flowers.

So amazing to see these vibrant flowers in autumn. Here the flowers have long since shivered themselves to sleep. Gorgeous photos my friend.

Thank you Sue! Compared to us you do live way up North, and at a higher elevation too.

Another wonderful post filled with great photos of very beautiful flowers! I’m partial to zinnias and cosmos to begin with, they are the very first species of flowers that I planted as a kid starting to garden.

Thank you Jerry! These flowers are among the easiest to plant, and good for a dilettante gardener like me.

Lovely photos, Hien. Were you able to get some of those heirloom cosmos seeds from the farm?

Glad that you asked, Eliza! I collected some wilted flower buds toward the lower parts of the plants and saved them. At home when I broke them up I did not see very many black seeds. Am I doing something wrong?

The seed pods must form and dry on the plant. When ripe, they are black or brown and will look like a starburst. The seeds will be obvious and easy to see. Maybe you’ll have to take another trip – they ought to be some ready by now.
