Today is the first day of the Lunar New Year, and according to the Chinese zodiac, it is the Year of the Dog. I thought it would be appropriate to post a photo taken of a man and his dog in October of 2015 at Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado.

Happy New Year of the Dog!

You really don’t get a sense of the size until you see the dog and man. Nicely captured.
A happy Lunar New Years.

I love Sand Dunes photos! When we were in the National Park tour, we saw some at Dead Valley, but we only had 20 minutes and it was not enough time to walk to any nice spot. ;-(

That is a place which dwarfs everything. My husband and I visited there several years ago.
And Happy New Year!

Thank you Sandy! That place dwarfs everything, but it is very accessible, the dunes, and the mountains around it.
