I am writing this as a Nor’easter is raging outside, dumping rain and snow, with strong winds added to the misery. Keep safe, all of you who are affected by it!
A few days ago, some brave Crocuses were starting to bloom in the mild weather we experienced for a few days.
Inside, the Orchid and Amaryllis are in full bloom, with no bud left that has not opened up yet.

Thank you Donna! I think the crocuses, an early variety, will survive.

Love your orchid. Mine is dying because of the heat. Ca has been so cold since Jan this year!

You mean heat inside the house? We keep our thermostat at 65 °F inside in the winter, and the orchids do well with that. There should also be enough humidity. After all, orchids are tropical flowers.

We keep our thermostat around 70 F inside the house and most of our flowers do not happy about the heat 😦

I hope the storm did not affect your area too badly. We lost one tall tree so far.

So sorry about your tree. 😦
We are far enough inland to have it a mild storm, but the coast has been pummeled. Just lots of rain and slushy snow here. I hope it melts away and doesn’t freeze or we are in trouble!

These are early crocuses, but we also have other kinds which have not appeared yet. Fingers crossed.

I love seeing signs of spring. Nothing happens around here yet ;-(
Amaryllis is hard to photo (composition), I think. I like yours!
Have a great day.

Absolutely beautiful images of the flowers Hien! I hope that the storm isn’t too bad in your area, it just missed us here in West Michigan yesterday, but it did hit Detroit quite hard. At least any snow that you get shouldn’t last very long.

You got lucky, Jerry! Over here it has paralyzed almost everything: trains, cars, planes. We lost a 30-ft blue spruce tree in our yard, but fortunately it did not fall on the house.

Will the new storm destroy all the recent spring growth?

I am hoping the crocuses will survive, They are the first flowers to bloom at the end of winter, so they may be very tough plants.
