So it looks like the poor thing was perched on snow, and couldsn’t even touch the branch, it was so deep. Very nice images…I suppose you’ll look back on these wistfully, on some hot August day… ๐

Thank you for your nice comments. Winter and snow are indeed good for photography, but after this winter I am not sure will miss them. ๐

Your ‘snow-bird’ pictures are very beautiful! But what a month of snow storms you have had!

Fluffy March snow, deep and wet and hopefully, melting soon, right? ๐

Almost all melted now, but another batch is coming tonight and tomorrow. ๐ฆ

I though the Goldfinch looked rather sad in that last photo.

I agree, at least very moody.

Looks so chilly for these lovely birds. We had a storm yesterday and two ducks were on our front walk. Completely unusual. I think they forgot to migrate.

Did you mean they forgot to migrate South? This winter has been tough on wildlife and humans alike.

Yes I think they stayed all winter!

I’m sure that the weather is miserable there with the series of storms passing through, but you’re getting great photos as the birds come to the feeder!

Thank you Jerry! Another snowstorm coming tonight and tomorrow, with heavy snow again.

It is a marvel these small ones survive on days like this. Many do not. The feeders are their saving.

So it never made it to eat? Tough situation for all. Your area has had a rough winter. Sweet photos.

Katelon, they probably got something to eat from the bird feeder. I saw it being emptied in less than two days.

Hien–that is some kind of snowstorm! Poor little birds–where’s their condo?! ๐

Lois, their condos are among the trees, but they were all covered with snow too.
