This morning, I went out on the deck and took pictures of the early birds that came for breakfast. Some looked very young, and they may be this year’s fledglings.

Blue Jay.

Northern Cardinal: “Peekaboo!”

Blue Jay: “I see you!”

Young male House Finch.

Young Carolina Chickadee.

I’m one of few here on the island who does NOT have a feeder but you’ve made me seriously consider it with these amazing photos Hien!

Considering the many birds of your island, you may not need a bird feeder. Thanks Tina!

Wonderful visitors for you to photograph. I started putting songbird seed in a feeder trying to attract some colorful birds to photograph. So far I can hear them, but they haven’t been at the feeder yet.

They will come, sooner than you think. Once they know about it, they will be regular visitors, year after year.

Beautiful! And, I liked the way that you played peekaboo with the birds, that’s one of my favorite pastimes.

Thank you Jerry! I think the birds were surprised by my presence near the feeder. They did not fly away, but continued eating while keeping a wary watch on the human.
