Wow! These are all stunning, but the first shot of the squirrel is amazing in how much detail is in that image! If you don’t mind me asking, what lens did you use for that?
Thanks Jerry! I used the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary 015 with the 7D Mark II for all the images that day. There was plenty of sunlight also.
Beautiful snaps! The squirrel looks so warm and fluffy. I’ve seen squirrels a couple of times here in Japan, but they are too camera shy and scurry off pretty quickly.
Lovely post … made me smile 🙂

Thanks Tina! All of these were shot very close to home, rather than 2 hours away as in the past.

Thanks Celia! Squirrels over here don’t run away unless you get real close to them.

Well done, Hien! The detail on all of the images is stunning! The one of the heron is comical to say the least. What a shot!!! 😉

I’ve not seen too much sun either here. It’s been downright discouraging!

Ha, ha! I have some follow-up photos but they don’t show him catching anything, unless he swallowed it while under.
