Usually Monday would be reserved for monochrome photos, but yesterday some spring flowers were so vibrantly displaying their colors that an exception can easily be made for them. The tulips are from our garden, while the other two are plants we grow inside the house.

Beautiful compositions, Hien. I really like the way you incorporated the background to set off your flowers. Nicely done!!! And those tulips …. I’m still waiting for mine to show. The ones I did capture are my neighbors. I don’t know what is taking mine so long. Thank you for sharing your flowers! 🦋🦋🦋

Amy, maybe the deer ate your tulips? Years ago, I kept complaining about our tulips being late. One day, I went out to where they were planted, and saw that the deer had nibbled them to ground level. Now I grow them inside a small fenced garden.

And that is exactly what happened, Hien. At the appropriate time I am digging up the bulbs to replant them in the Fall, in another garden that hopefully the deer won’t get into. Every year I am fighting off these deer with a natural spray but they always seem to beat me to the punch. That’s the way things go sometimes ….

You have presented these beautifully unadorned. They don’t need adornment. Beautiful.

I have a few in a pot in my garden, I forget that they are there until they come out in spring and surprise me. I am a very half-hearted gardener, as you can tell.

I haven’t planted tulips for many years (30 perhaps) because the deer kept eating them. Last year, I planted them in the garden which is fenced.

Beautiful flowers, beautiful backyard… and you still have time taking many wonderful photos? It seems to me that if I pay attention to one thing, then I have to give up something else. ;-(
Have a wonderful day! BTW, I particularly like the first photo. 😉 Even though you have 5 tulips in the photo, I like the “Less is More” feeling… 😉

Thank you Helen! In retirement, I like to keep busy as much as possible, but only one thing at a time.

Thanks! Even though they only last a few days, the tulips brought some nice colors to our house.
