Apparently, there are Long-tailed ducks around here -I’m going to have to go find them! It’s nice to come back for a second look at this beautiful post. 🙂

Thanks, Emma. That all white bird is a Great Egret. It was preening in bright sunlight.

Each one is beautifully done. The egret is amazing – what an interesting pose! I love the Longtail duck, too – I’ve never seen one of those. Beautiful!

Thanks Lynn! Didn’t you see the Long-tailed Duck when you were on the East Coast. They are some the more numerous ducks that winter off the coast of New Jersey.

I don’t think I did – Im must have been in the wrong place at the wrong time! Or maybe I just glimpsed them once or twice. It’s not a duck I know like some of the others but it’s one that I always love seeing in photos because that tail is so graceful.
