More photos of the beautiful blue sky from a few days ago.
In the above photo you can see the ice begin to form on the surface of the marsh. Down below is a closer look at the ice.

And now it has changed again! I hope you aren’t completely snowed in.

We received about 9 inches of snow, but I was able to clear it off the driveway the following day. Now it is just cold and windy.

The blue in the sky really pops out and I love the graceful look of the Swans have on the water, well captured.

I see most everyone has already commented on that abstract of the ice in monochrome. That image deserves to be printed on metal and displayed.

Great photos! I like how the closeup of the ice forming looks like the feathers of the swans 🙂

Thank you Lois! I could not believe the look of that ice. It looks so flat and hard when it is all frozen.

I so enjoyed the brisk, wintry photos here of your visit to EBF Refuge, Hien. Big open sky so bright and beautiful. Your swan photos are wonderful and how great to have two species in one refuge. And the ice photo is delightful.

Glad you enjoy these photos, Jet. We are having a blizzard with lots of snow and wind. The swans may be gone by now, but where to? Almost the whole Eastern seaboard is affected.

Thank you! Our marshes are now all frozen, especially with the current blizzard conditions.

Thank you Chris. By this time the marshes should be covered with solid ice, and snow of course.
