So beautiful!
I was wondering the other day if birds are ever stung by wasps.. not been able to find out yet, but I hope that never happens.

The last photo of the wasp and the bee both fleeing in different directions is wonderful.

I really enjoy your images. So clear and beautiful. I saw a hummingbird fly past me this week and landed on our feeder just six feet away. I reached for my phone camera and realized I didn’t have it on me. I’m glad you captured the moment. 🙂 Our birds will probably head to South America soon.

I might be imagining it but this beautiful bird seems to have a faraway look. Perhaps contemplating a long migration ahead. Gorgeous captures.

Amazing shots of these fascinating birds! I might put a humming bird feeder out next year 🙂 We got lots of them where I live.

We still have hummers, but they will be moving on soon.

I saw them again today, competing fiercely for the feeder, with several acrobatic duels around it! But they could be gone tomorrow.

Yes, I think I may have seen the last one yesterday. Now I wait until the end of November to put out the bird feeders. We want to feed the birds and not the bears. Nice collection of images. Cheers!

Bears, wow! Maybe I should do the same here. There are increasing reports of bear sightings these past few years. By the way, the hummingbirds are still around today, and they kept coming to the feeder more than usual, probably to fuel up for their long migration.

Migration is definitely underway, but we still have visits from hummers, probably refueling on their way south. I always wonder if they remember from year to year good pitstops along their route?

The hummingbirds came back today, perhaps because it has been so warm. They do remember the feeder from year to year. This year I was late putting it out, and two of them came hovering where it should have been to remind me.

I don’t have feeders, but hanging plants and I’ve seen the same reminders. So amazing to think that they travel 1000’s of miles and remember the location of a tiny hanging plant!

That second one is so expressive, right? Actually the bird was worried that another hummer was going to pounce on it and kick it off the feeder.

She’s beautiful! But, it is that time of year unfortunately, when most species of birds are leaving us for the winter.

That’s true. Hummers only stay with us for half of the year. They do come back though and look for the feeder.
