Today I took a few photos of a Dark-eyed Junco that was coming to our bird feeder. It had its left wing slightly higher than its right one as you can see below.
A while later, I saw it at the bird feeder and took the following photo.
It was moving, but not as fast as the other Juncos. It was eating. There was no blood that I could see. If you know what the problem is, and how we can help this bird, please comment and tell me what I should do.

Looks like some old injury, a cyst. It can make him tired. Sorry for the lovely fella.

Poor bird. It looks to be some kind of growth, if the wing was broken, it would not be able to fly at all and come to the feeder. I would try to get in touch with a bird rescuer in the area and ask for advice.

Thanks Tiny. Today, a week later, was the first chance I got to look out with a little bit of sunlight. The Junco was nowhere in sight, and it’s anybody’s guess as to what may have happened to it.

I saw no obvious suffering, although the bird was really slow, and mostly immobile near the bird feeder. On the other hand, Juncos migrate here, so it must have been able to fly here from many miles away, perhaps hundreds if not more.

Poor bird! I’ll speak with our vet. I wonder if it’s a predator injury
