The American Robin shown below was making so much noise and movement that I had to take its picture.
The target for its cries was another Robin, who watched it very nonchalantly.
Here are the two of them in one photo.
Perhaps the shouting Robin was a juvenile clamoring for food, and the older bird did nothing, as a way of telling the younger one to go find its own worm. Just my guess.

beautiful captures, Hien! I think you are right about the juvenile…they try the longest possible time to get their parents to feed them 🙂

Thank you Helen! I read that Robins can have up to 3 brood a year, and perhaps this juvenile was from the first brood and the parents now have to take care of the more recent siblings.

Thank you Indah! Robins usually herald the coming of Spring, which is so much needed this year.

Great images, although I think that it’s too early in the year for the robin making all the noise to be a youngster in need of food. Robins are always squawking about something, I can’t figure them out either.

You are probably right, Jerry! I’ll go back there in a day or two to see if they are still squabbling about something. 🙂

I’d guess it is a territorial display, judging from the raised head feathers and dropped tail. Maybe the one to the right is his mate?

It’s hard to interpret what was happening. Unfortunately, I don’t understand American Robinese. 🙂
